Settling In

The students have had to learn to deal with the wind - this is not like East Texas.  Below, students work together to get a tent up in the Black Kettle National Grassland.

We are OK in OK.  Just a shout from Weatherford, OK, that we are at a McDonalds WiFi hub and on our way to Cheyenne, OK, and the Washita Battlefield Monument.  Can we get corporate sponsorship from McDonalds for mentioning them?

On the Road

Welcome to the travel blog for History 345 and History 321 (US West and World).  We're hitting the road June 8th and returning to Nacogdoches, TX, on June 29.  Our basic itinerary includes:
- Indigenous and Spanish sites in New Mexico.
- Colorado River and SE Utah.
- Mountain Man territory in Wyoming.
- Yellowstone.
- Mining and missionary sites in Montana.
- Battle of the Little Big Horn.
